Data Engineer - Marketing Intelligence (m/f/d)

We're looking for a motivated and driven Data Engineer (m/f/d) who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

  • You will be part of a self-organized, cross-functional team in the marketing domain
  • You will work with your team to decide on and improve the data architecture (from data extraction, preprocessing, and isolation) to support the Marketing Intelligence projects
  • You will work with your team to build data-intensive applications for customer relationship management and customer behavior modeling, as well as for answering real-life questions like
    “What is the optimal marketing budget allocation to maximize revenue and profits?”
    “What is the current/future business and marketing performance?”
  • You will manage our Business analytics infrastructure to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of our mission critical business reports (up to the highest management level)
  • You will support the team to productionize data-intensive products rapidly, exploring new steering methods and testing them in a production environment in quick cycles
  • You will work with business and technology stakeholders to evaluate data sources, techniques, and tools teams on solutions for data-driven decision making

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

  • +3 years of experience as Data Engineer, Software Engineer or BI Developer
  • Solid expertise in at least one programming language like Python, Scala or Java
  • Working experience with structured engineering methods like test first (TDD, BDD)
  • Practical experience with the design and maintenance of big data pipelines & architecture with tools such as Spark, Kafka or Hadoop based on Cloud Computing Platforms (AWS or Azure)
  • Familiar with the design and optimization of databases or data warehouses - including handling and logging errors, system monitoring
  • Experience with enterprise BI-Tools (Power BI / Tableau / Qlik) or real-time processing is a plus
  • An understanding of agile development practices and being able to document your work.
  • Fluent in English; every other European language is a plus
