Senior Backend Engineer

We're looking for a motivated and driven Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

• You will propose, design, document technical solutions that serve millions of users 
• You will decouple our large systems to independent services and self-contained systems 
• You will optimize databases that have hundreds of millions of rows
• You will write SOLID, maintainable, flexible, testable and tested code
• You will analyze, propose and drive technology improvements 
• You will support our CI/CD environment. Produce positive impact with each release 
• You will support our agile, iterative, flexible, team-oriented development

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

• 5+ years of commercial experience
• Deep knowledge of PHP 7+ 
• Good knowledge and experience with Symfony, MySQL, NGINX, Redis, Elastic Search, Docker, AWS, Design Patterns, Continuous Integration and Deployment (Unit testing/GitLab/CI/Ansible), Vagrant, Rollbar, DataDog, etc.
• Good SQL experience and understanding of an ORM's internals 
• Solid foundation in software development practices 
• Ability to split a complicated task into smaller deliverable chunks 
• Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment 
• Intermediate level of English (or higher) 
• Solution-oriented attitude, with a focus on materializing the business vision through technical means 
• Have the ability and willingness to learn quickly, and to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment 
• Great communication and collaboration skills, be an active team member, share the team's responsibilities
