Your Tasks – Paint the world green
- You will take over the ownership of the business development team in India, and you will be in charge of scaling the operations team as we build a nationwide bus network.
- You will work directly with the Managing Director in India and Global HQ leadership to ensure seamless integration of operations, drive strategic initiatives to fuel business growth and establish key partnerships.
- You will part of a growing in a tech-driven mobility startup, from the ground up, driving it from 0 to 10 through strategic execution and scaling operations, leading to doubling down network expansion corridors.
- You will build and lead a high-performing Team of Business Development & Regional Operations Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement; as well strengthening Organizational Setup for Ground Operations Team.
- You will work cross-functionally to achieve commercial success of lines, working closely with Network Planning and Revenue & Pricing teams to define the ideal network for the market.
- You will be accountable for achieving Operational & Commercial KPIs, including Bus Cost, Topline Revenue, Gross Margin.
- You will be setting up and improving the quality, punctuality & safety standards of the network (bus, station, stop) to guarantee a great customer experience, by monitoring the data gathered by customer surveys, focusing on NPS, and implement improvement measures.
- You will ensure operational excellence by developing and implementing efficient processes, including Driver Training, Rest Stops, Cargo.
- You will establish and maintain robust relationships with bus partners, implement best practices for sales and account management to enhance the FlixBus network, as well as with industry suppliers to achieve better deals for our operators.
- You will develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy, monitor market trends and competitor activities in India.
- You will support Managing Director with P&L, Budgeting and Financial Planning.
Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
- 12+ years of working experience in Business Development, Sales, Operations management, or a related function, with a strong background in building partnerships, scaling operations, and driving revenue growth in the transportation, mobility, or tech e-commerce driven sectors.
- 3-5+ years of leadership experience. You are a strong senior leader who can set the direction and inspire the broad & complex team to reach their goals, experienced in recruiting, managing, and coaching high-performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to drive significant growth through strategic partnerships and account management
- Demonstrated ability to design, drive and manage end to end large scale operations - with continuous efficiency improvements
- Experience implementing process optimization frameworks including six sigma
- Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic topics with a deeply analytical and data-driven approach to issues
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well
- Strong understanding of P&L at a high growth organization
- Based in Gurugram, and ready to travel across India up to 30% of your time
