We’re on the lookout for a Head of Business Development who will oversee sales and account management in Peru, playing a crucial role in our go-to-market strategy. The partnerships we forge with our operators are the heartbeat of our success—they own the coaches and employ the drivers that keep our network running smoothly.  

As the Head of Business Development, you will play a critical part in laying the groundwork for our ambitious growth targets in Peru through strategic partnerships. This position offers high visibility with leadership and the chance to collaborate with international business areas, putting you at the forefront of our expansion efforts. 

 You’ll also have the exciting opportunity to build, mentor, and coach your own talented team of Business Development Managers.

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

    • You will be responsible for the full sales life cycle, from prospecting, signing, managing, and nurturing partnerships 
    • Establish, maintain and nurture relationships with operators across the market and act as a figurehead for FlixBus by building a strong FlixBus brand within the industry 
    • Track the commercial results of your lines and partners to push their profitability by optimizing their engagements 
    • Recruit, manage and develop a world-class team 
    • Implement best practices for sales and account management, including processes, tools, and KPIs 
    • Set and communicate clear targets and keep yourself and the team accountable for them 
    • Work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with Network Planning, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and other parts of the organization 
    • Build a strong network in the transportation industry and represent FlixBus at various events and fairs 
    • Establish partnerships with industry suppliers to achieve better deals for our operators 
    • Establish relationship and represent Flix at industry associations 
    • Accountable for delivering on our growth targets and maintaining existing partnerships  

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

    • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experiences on Business Development and a recent work experience as a Head of Business Development.  
    • Experience in buses or heavy machinery industries is a strong plus.  
    • Operational background in transport and/or logistics industries is a plus.  
    • Degree, or equivalent on business administration, economics or a related field 
    • You are an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, in both Spanish and English 
    • You have a strong track record of building and managing Business Development functions B2B, from building the pipe of clients or partners to ensuring long-lasting relations. 
    • Experience in being accountable for high ticket sales targets and have great analytical skills. 
    • Strong drive to close deals, achieve results and an empathetic approach to account management 
    • Strong leader who can set the direction and inspire high-performing teams to reach their goals and establish a feedback culture 
    • Passionate about disrupting incumbent market practices and a technology believer with a customer centric approach 
    • You strive for excellence, take ownership, and are disciplined
