As a Workday Master Data Specialist, you’ll be responsible for managing the core operational HR tasks within Workday. You will support HR teams by maintaining data quality, managing organizational updates, and helping to streamline data workflows. Your work will ensure clean, compliant, and up-to-date employee records, relieving our HR Business Partners and People Operations Managers from operational Workday tasks.
Your Tasks – Paint the world green
- HRIS Data Management: Perform data entry, updates, and validations within Workday, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Organizational Changes: Support data changes and updates for organizational changes , including role changes, hierarchy adjustments, and team restructuring in Workday.
- Operational Execution: Create job requisitions, positions, and process organizational changes on behalf of HR teams.
- Onboarding/Offboarding: Support lifecycle transactions in Workday including new hire setups and terminations.
- Data Quality & Clean-up: Run audits, correct inconsistencies, and ensure compliance in master data fields.
- User Support and Enablement: Provide support to HR Business Partners and People Operations Managers for any Workday-related issues, maintain documentation and provide guidance and training wherever needed.
Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
- Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience working with Workday as an HRIS or HR data administrator is a must-have.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Workday data entry, data management, and report generation; understanding of HR processes and compliance requirements. Basic excel skills would be nice to have.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data and process issues within Workday.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of data accuracy when managing repeatable operational processes at scale.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating with HR team members and assisting users with varying levels of Workday experience.
