This Senior Project Manager Finance (m/f/d) role leads complex finance‑ and tax‑focused transformation projects, using AI, automation, and regulatory expertise to improve compliance, streamline invoicing processes, and deliver cross‑functional implementation together with Finance, Tech, Legal, and external partners.
About the Role
- Manage finance‑ and tax‑driven cross‑functional projects and lead finance/tax tech transformation initiatives
- Identify, pilot, and scale AI and automation use cases for finance and tax processes in close collaboration with tech and finance teams
- Track legislative and regulatory developments across markets and translate upcoming mandates (e‑invoicing, compliance deadlines) into project triggers
- Analyze tax and invoicing processes end‑to‑end and develop structured recommendations to improve compliance, reduce manual work, and strengthen controls
- Convert regulatory requirements into executable implementation plans and drive cross‑functional delivery with Finance, Tech, Legal, and external vendors
- Manage timelines, risks, and stakeholder communication for tax technology projects, ensuring on‑time delivery and clear escalation paths
- Prepare structured updates and decision materials for senior leadership, act as the link between local entities and central teams, and help build scalable project‑delivery best practices
About You
- Bachelor or Master’s degree from a top university in Business, Finance, Tax, Law, Economics or related field of study
- 5+ years of full-time work experience in finance, tax, consulting, or a related field - with demonstrable exposure to (tax) compliance, or regulatory projects
- Proven project management experience - you have owned timelines, managed cross-functional stakeholders, and delivered in structured or complex environments
- Strong analytical skills, and the ability to use data to back up assumptions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with dynamically changing tasks and priorities
- Fluency in English is mandatory. German and/or another European language will be considered as an advantage
- Love working with people and will enjoy interacting with and managing the priorities of a large number of stakeholders
