Purpose and Responsibilities:
Our Finance team at FlixTrain is essential to driving financial excellence in a fast-growing, dynamic environment. As we expand, we are building up the finance department to meet high growth business requirements and ensure robust financial control. This role supports monthly closings, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking, and contributes directly to our operational success.
Impact on the Organization:
You will play a key role in maintaining the financial health of FlixTrain by providing actionable insights through numbers, assisting with internal and external reporting, and supporting key business decisions with robust financial models and analysis.
Tools, Platforms, or Processes:
Our team works with Excel (advanced level required), Adaptive Insights for planning, Oracle for ERP and accounting, and PowerBI for reporting. Experience in these tools is highly valued.
About the Role
- Supporting monthly closing and financial reporting activities
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Helping track and analyze key financial KPIs to monitor business performance
- Preparing presentations and financial models for internal stakeholders to drive data-driven insights
- Assisting with invoice processing, cost control, and maintaining internal financial documentation
- Collaborating closely with Accounting, Controlling, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations
About You
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program, majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling
- Prior internship or working student experience in a similar financial role is highly preferred
- Strong Excel skills are non-negotiable (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Fluent in English; German is a plus but not required
- Quantitative skillset with a strong understanding of numbers and financial data interpretation
- Ability to create compelling presentations (PowerPoint); PowerBI skills are a plus
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, and proactive attitude
