We're looking for a motivated and driven Regional Operations Manager (m/f/d) based in Porto area who will help us shape our team, drive the company to the next level, and have the most direct influence on our success. You will be working in an international team and responsible for managing all operational topics concerning Flixbus’ bus partners based in the north of Portugal and the northwest of Spain.
About the Role
- Work hand-in-hand with other teams to build, maintain, and develop long-lasting partnerships with bus partners and strengthen Flix’s presence in bus terminals within the geographical area
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations to enhance partner performance and service quality
- Ensure compliance with Flixbus procedures and protocols
- Train, support, and develop drivers of bus partners, conducting regular inspections of buses to meet quality standards
- Monitor and ensure the accurate start of each new line, driving constant improvement in line operations, particularly concerning fleet, drivers, and punctuality.
- Take part in cross-functional operational projects
- Provide field support for bus station management and other structures in the area (e.g., ticket shops), coordinating with internal teams (e.g., Line Planning, Business Development) for seamless operations
About You
- 3-6 years of work experience in operations (transportation) in Portugal and/or Spain or a dynamic daily environment (handling daily incoming requests)
- Spanish and Portuguese (native/proficient speaker level) is must, highly fluent in English. Language skills will be tested
- Ability to adequately deal with different stakeholders (bus terminal managers, bus drivers, operations supervisors or regional authorities) with high social and negotiation skills
- Trustworthiness, engagement, and flexibility as well as a hands-on mentality
- Organized, independent, reliable and responsible working style
- Ability to motivate internal and external stakeholders, and how to prioritize and organize yourself between incoming daily requests and longer-term tasks
- Willing to regular travel around Porto area and at least monthly two-day trip to Lisbon (working in office)
