At Flix, we offer a dynamic work environment with competitive pay, strong growth opportunities, and a tech-driven approach to making travel more accessible, sustainable, and affordable.

As a Project Manager Localization (m/f/d), you’ll manage end-to-end localization operations—from handling translation requests, coordinating freelancers and vendors, and preparing quotes to optimizing workflows and leveraging AI. You will be a part of the Localization & Content Management Team, which ensures Flix’s content is culturally and linguistically adapted for audiences worldwide. Through a mix of in-house experts, freelancers, and a language service provider, the team manages translations, quality assurance, and workflow optimization via a centralized Translation Management System supported by AI and automation tools—delivering consistent, high-quality content efficiently across all markets.

About the Role

  • Manage the incoming localization requests, make sure deadlines are feasible and met. Check and prepare submitted files for translation, set up the translation projects in our CAT tool
  • Collaborate closely with our internal Localization Managers, other Flix teams, including Marketing (e.g., Brand, CRM) and Tech, as well as outsource to freelancers and Language Service Provider (LSP), to ensure localized content meets business needs
  • Preparing quotes and submit summaries for monthly invoicing for both our freelancers and LSP
  • Act as the liaison with our LSP: outsource projects, monitor delivery timelines, and contribute to regular alignment meetings to strengthen collaboration
  • Partner with our CAT tool provider to explore new features and improvements that can enhance our localization workflows
  • Coordinate our freelancer pool: act as the main point of contact, assign requests, track availability, monitor costs, and support with research and contract negotiations when onboarding new freelancers
  • Proactively optimize localization processes, identifying bottlenecks, proposing leaner solutions for smoother operations and support our efforts to leverage AI and automation, helping reduce manual steps and improving efficiency in daily workflows

About You

  • 3+ years of experience in translation, localization, and/or linguistic project management, with excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working with LSPs
  • Bachelor/Master’s Degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) and Translation Management Systems (e.g., Phrase TMS, String); experience with Content Management Systems (e.g., Drupal) is a plus
  • Familiarity with JIRA or other ticketing platforms to track and manage requests
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge in anticipating localization needs, spot potential challenges early, and stay curious and up to date with both industry and company trends with strong interest in AI and its application to optimize translation workflows
  • Attention to detail with the ability to organize and juggle multiple tasks effectively in a timely manner, proactive and solution-driven attitude, with strong creative problem-solving skills

We recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences. If you think you could have an impact even though you don't meet 100% of the requirements, we still encourage you to apply. We want to hear from you!
