Join us in the role of Senior Accounting Specialist (m/f/d) and play a key role in supporting the daily accounting operations of our local finance team. In this position, you will help ensure accurate financial processes, strengthen operational controls, and contribute to continuous improvements across the accounting cycle.
You will collaborate closely with our Regional Accounting Hub and local finance stakeholders, helping coordinate accounting activities, review key financial information, and support the month-end closing process
About the Role
- Coordinate day-to-day accounting activities with the Regional Accounting Hub, ensuring accuracy and alignment with internal policies and local regulations.
- Support and oversee month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial postings and documentation.
- Review and validate key accounting entries and reconciliations such as bank accounts, AP, AR, taxes, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare supporting documentation required for internal reporting, audits, and regional finance requests.
- Supervise the proper flow and validation of accounting documentation including invoices, contracts, and supporting documents.
- Support treasury-related processes including invoice validation, payment coordination, and monitoring of tax-related payments.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of structured closing checklists and transaction tracking processes.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at strengthening the full accounting cycle and documentation controls.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Around 4-5 years of experience in accounting, financial control, or audit roles.
- Experience working in multinational companies, technology environments, transportation, or marketplace business is a plus.
- Experience working with ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and month-end closing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a structured analytical mindset.
- Proactive profile capable of identifying improvements and going beyond purely operational tasks.
- Comfortable working with regional teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
