We’re looking for a dedicated Expert Public Affairs and Authorizations (m/f/d) professional to lead our efforts in Peru!. You will play a crucial role in building relationships with stakeholders, engaging communities, and championing our mission alongside key internal leaders. 

Your Tasks – Paint the world green

    • Develop and execute a strategic approach to achieve FlixBus’ goals in public & corporate affairs 
    • Identify and develop networks with key government and non-governmental actors across the political spectrum at all levels (city, state, and national), particularly with regard to the technology and/or transportation and mobility sector. 
    • Ensuring that Flix complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards in the countries where we operate; 
    • Point person that transforms ideas and business opportunities into legal documents who will turn into required regulatory authorizations; 
    • Establish and advance the FlixBus brand and profile with policy makers including (local and national) governments, third parties and academics 
    • Participate in and shape policy frameworks at city, state, and national level 
    • Engage key influencers (academic institutions, think tanks, etc.) in policy making to advance FlixBus’ agenda 
    • Become a thought leader in the transportation and mobility space, and a trusted advisor for policy makers 
    • Work hand in hand with the Global Public Affairs and Corporate Comms teams to ensure consistency in messaging 
    • Program manage continuous requirements and paperwork needed to fully comply; 
    • Identifying and managing legal risks associated with our operations; 
    • Working closely with the legal team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with legal requirements; 
    • Monitoring changes in laws and regulations that may impact Flix, and advising the leadership team accordingly;

    • You will report directly to the Managing Director Peru 

     

Your Profile – Ready to hop on board

    • 7-10 years of relevant work experience in Public Affairs, government, law, or in a Political or Institutional environment, ideally in the transportation or travel industry; 
    • Advanced degree, or equivalent, in Political Science, Public Affairs, Law, Economics or a related communications discipline is preferred 
    • You are an excellent communicator, both verbal and written, in both Spanish and English 
    • Knowledge of Peruvian regulatory and legislative processes and exposure to the Peruvian parliamentary, political and legislative institutions and framework 
    • Solid network in Peru with relevant stakeholders 
    • Excellent (verbal and written) communication skills in Spanish and English 
    • The ability to adequately deal and manage relationships with different internal and external stakeholders and institutional partners 
    • Ability to make decisions and act autonomously while escalating when necessary 
    • Experience in the technology sector and/or transportation and mobility sector is a plus, as is some experience of working with media and journalists is a plus 
    • Program management capabilities; 
    • Ability to track multiple projects and make things happen; 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; 
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
